You're Invited

We are a place of sanctuary, hope and action. We are a family of people who humbly seek to be closer to God. When you come to worship with us, you will experience no claims of perfection and no gatekeepers of God’s grace.

Each one of us makes our mistakes and asks God’s forgiveness. We seek to know God’s love in our lives and to have that love overflow us and spill out into the streets of Laurel and beyond, where there is a world of hurt and emptiness waiting to be filled.

Worship Service
Worship Service

Our worship services last approximately one hour and stream live on our YouTube channel on Sundays at 10am or in-person at 10am. Our service is a  blend of traditional & contemporary styles. Each service includes music, joys and concerns, a message, and a parting blessing (to name a few key aspects). We hope to see you this Sunday!

Children & Teens

Children are welcome to attend Sunday School during the 10am service. Childcare is available during the service year round, for infants through second graders (Please contact Donna if childcare is needed). Children are always welcome to stay with their caregivers in worship. All volunteers and employees that work with our children are screened, trained, and supervised.

Teens are welcome to join in our excellent youth program that starts at 10am in the youth room each Sunday.

Food & Fellowship
Food & Fellowship

After the 10 am service we have coffee and food available to promote gathering together in our fellowship hall.  As part of our commitment to inclusion, we also have a dedicated allergen free table with food offerings. We also have our welcome team available in the fellowship hall during this time. They would love to answer your questions!

Accessibility

Emmanuel UMC is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming faith community for all, including people with disabilities or differing abilities. At Emmanuel, we offer a sign language interpreter during the 10am service. Some of the ways we are committed to accessibility includes:

  • Assistive listening devices
  • Large print materials
  • Sign language interpreter
  • Greeters and volunteers to assist with seating
  • An elevator for better accessibility
  • Accessible, gender inclusive restroom with changing table
  • Captions on our livestream
  • Periodic sign language classes
  • Promotion of disability awareness observances or campaigns (e.g. Disability Awareness Sunday)

For accessibility accommodations or concerns, please contact the office.
